WELDING ROBOTS

WELDING ROBOTS

 WELDING ROBOTS

Robotic welding is one of the most common applications of robotics in the industrial sector, and in the last few decades it has mainly developed in the automotive sector. BG ROBOTS offers welding solutions with MIG/MAG, TIG, CMT, laser and plasma technology.

We are partners with the leading welding equipment supplier Fronius /Austria/
We have inhouse our own robot KUKA KR8 R1640 ARC HW, equipped with Fronius CMT 500A, for testing and training on all welding processes.

Robotic welding system commissioning and training

The robotization of welding processes is carried out by means of an appropriately selected industrial robot and high-quality welding equipment. Robotic welding equipment consists of several main elements - a welding source, a robotic wire feeder, a torch, a wire cleaning and cutting station, a rotary or linear positioner, specific software, etc.

  • The power source is selected with a suitable communication interface to the work, which allows data exchange between the two controllers - in all machines more than 200 times faster than the old models, which makes it possible to use additional potential of the system.

  • An appropriately selected welding torch (burner), thanks to the chosen geometry, reaches welding positions even in hard-to-reach places.
  • The body feed device ensures a stable feed of the material to the weld pool - 4-roll feed is standard.
  • The torch cleaning station with wire cutting unit ensures the condition of the nozzle and contact tip, providing a stable gas shield and repeatable TCP for the wire end, thereby increasing the welding quality.
  • Welding positioners optimize welding time and welding cell space, allowing production to run more efficiently and at low cost by reducing area, increasing welding speed and quality. Welding positioners not only help in welding more complex parts, but also have a huge effect on the quality of the final product.

Standard robotized welding cells consist of:
  • one or two welding robots with stationary assembly or working on linear units,
  • the dedicated set of welding fixtures,
  • one or two welding positioners (single-axis, tilt-rotary, three-axis H-type or K-type),
  • welding source for the chosen method MIG/MAG, TIG or other,
  • welding torch cleaning station with wire cutting unit,
  • wire feeder working with a wire spool or barrel ,
  • welding safety fence with auxiliary safety devices (safety curtains, safety scanners, interlocking, e-stop buttons etc.),
  • ventilation system with extraction and filter for high levels of smoke and fumes ,
  • control panel, connected to the master control system.
  • MIG/MAG welding
  • High performance welding
  • TIG welding
  • Plasma welding
  • Cold Metal Transfer CMT
  • Spot welding
Welding positioners optimize the welding time and floor space, allowing production to flow more efficiently and reduce costs by decreasing floor space and increasing welding speed and quality. Not only do welding positioners financially help the company, but they also have an enormous effect on the end product quality.
